Designing a Tiny World With Big Imagination
Building and decorating invite children to tell their own stories
Benny’s birdhouse village gives Fuzzi and Gram a chance to imagine how each tiny home might look, who might live there, and what would make it special. Designing with familiar neighborhood details helps children connect creativity to the world they know. As you read, ask, “What would you add to a birdhouse?” or “Which Fuzziland place could inspire a tiny home?”
Set out safe building and decorating materials such as blocks, recycled boxes, paper, stickers, or toy figures. Invite your child to create a mini neighborhood, then ask about the homes, parks, shops, or stories inside it. Follow their lead and celebrate their ideas with words like, “You added a thoughtful detail,” “Your neighborhood has so much character,” or “You made a whole world from your imagination.”
