Seeing How Kindness Can Spread

Even a small helpful choice can brighten someone’s day

Fuzzi’s small act of kindness shows children that helping does not need to be grand to matter. When Gram and the town notice and pass it along, children can see how caring choices create a warm, connected community. As you read, ask, “What kind thing did Fuzzi do?” or “How did that kindness inspire someone else?”

Invite your child to choose one small helpful deed for the day: hold a door, put away a shared toy, draw a picture for someone, or ask, “How can I help?” Notice the impact together without expecting a reward. Reinforce kindness with words like, “You noticed what someone needed,” “Your help made a difference,” or “That caring choice might inspire another kind one.”
