The pebble puzzle invites Fuzzi and Gram to look closely, compare colors, and notice what repeats. Recognizing patterns is an early math skill that helps children make predictions and organize information. As you read, ask, “What color comes next?” or “What do you notice that repeats along the path?”
Make a simple pattern together with safe objects such as colored blocks, buttons, toy cars, or paper shapes. Start with an easy pattern like red, blue, red, blue, then invite your child to continue it or invent one for you to solve. Celebrate both teamwork and thinking with words like, “You spotted the pattern,” “You made a good prediction,” or “We solved it together.”
