Exploring Letters Through a Playful Journey

Letter clues help children notice that print carries meaning

Fuzzi and Gram collect letter clues at each train stop, showing children that letters can be found, named, and used to create an important message. Their trip to Tulip Town makes early literacy feel like an adventure with a clear, meaningful goal. As you read, ask, “Which letter did they find?” or “What letter might the welcome banner need next?”

Try an alphabet hunt at home, in a book, or on a walk. Choose one or two letters to look for on signs, packages, or labels, and invite your child to point them out. You can make a small welcome banner together by drawing or arranging letters from magazines. Reinforce the learning with words like, “You found that letter,” “That letter helps make a word,” or “You helped create our message.”
