Found objects can become wonderful play props
A shell, a smooth stone, or a piece of driftwood can become a clue, a treasure, or part of a make-believe world. Fuzzi and Gram’s pirate rhyme shows how simple objects and a few playful words can start a whole adventure. Invite children to decide what an object could be and follow their ideas instead of directing the story for them.
Create a tiny treasure hunt together using safe objects from around the house, yard, or beach. Let each child add a clue, make up a rhyme, or choose a hiding spot, then decide on a treasure everyone can enjoy. Celebrate shared imagination with phrases like, “Your clue was clever,” “You added to our adventure,” or “You made sure everyone got to be part of the treasure.”
